An ancient Roman product (broken terracotta pieces) used as building or pavement material or for isolation in ovens, dating back more than 2.000 years.
This Terranage product consists of fired clay and is offered in a fine grain size.
Consequently, Terranage being of the same quality as Terraneo pots, it has the same high-quality properties (durable, frost-resistant, eco-friendly, etc.).
In opposition to products like stones, pebbles or wood chips (which eventually mold), that are mostly used either inside or on the top of the pots for drainage or decoration, Terranage has a triple utility: it retains the water within the pot, keeping the humidity inside the soil (when placed both on the top & at the bottom of the pot). This allows the plant and its roots to “breath” naturally, as the clay is porous. In hard, very cold winter conditions, but also in very hot summer conditions, Terranage is the optimum insulation solution for all plants.
